RSS
RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts. Watch a video that describes RSS.
Blogs
A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.
Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Readers can subscribe to blogs using RSS. The absolute easiest way to create a blog is with Blogger. However, if you want a blog you can use with students, and you want to be able to control the content, use Edublogs or Class Blogmeister. Wikis
A wiki is a website that allows the visitors themselves to easily add, remove, and otherwise edit and change available content, typically without the need for registration. This ease of interaction and operation makes a wiki an effective tool for mass collaborative authoring. The absolute easiest way to create a wiki is with PB Wiki. Podcasts
A podcast is a media file that is distributed by subscription over the Internet using RSS syndication feeds. Do you want to create a podcast? The absolute easiest way to do it is with Odeo Studio. (Sample Podcast) Watch a video describing podcasts.
