Transforming Teaching
Publishing
Introduction
Teachers have been using technology to publish student work for years. Word processing, presentation software, and the Internet are tools that have supported this process. However, in many cases the tools have not provided students new publishing opportunities. Instead, they have been used to electronically publish in ways that can be done without technology. Although value can be found in these exercises, don't we owe it to our students to provide them new an innovative methods of publishing their original work? This site is dedicated to providing educators with ideas, instructions, and examples of electronic student publications that transform the writing process.
Some Things You Might Need To Publish With Kids:
It is important to have parent permission before you place student work on the Internet. This is a sample permission form that you can modify.
Some of the greatest images in children's publications come from Dorling Kinderley. They now make their images available as free clipart.
